Sales & Brokerage Experience: As a recent college graduate, Matt Murphy started in real estate with Dividend Development as a New Home Salesperson, selling in most Bay Area counties. In 1991, Matt joined Pacific Union Marketing Company, where he was responsible for selling high-rise, loft and townhouse developments in San Francisco proper. In the down markets during the early 1990’s and mid 2000’s, Matt opened Pacific Capital Investments in San Francisco and then Insight Real Estate Group in the East Bay and concentrated on the listing and sales of distressed properties. Matt represented more than 35 financial institutions and closed in excess of 2000 transactions. When Keller Williams Realty franchised into Northern California, Murphy was the Founder and Broker of Record for 3 Bay Area offices with approximately 450 agents under his Broker’s license, where he was recognized for assisting the growth of Keller Williams Realty to the largest brokerage in the country. Murphy is currently a Strategic Partner of Bella Vista Land Advisors in finding and selling land to home, apartment and mixed-use builders and developers.
Education: Murphy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1983, and his Masters of Business Administration/International Business from the University of San Francisco in 1991.

Personal: Matt and his wife Elaine, of 17 years, have an active East Bay home with 4 children, ages 10 – 16. Peter and Lauren are in High School, Ava in middle school and Nathan in elementary school. Matt held top Northern California and National Junior Tennis rankings and played Varsity College Tennis at Brigham Young University. He currently coaches both the Boys and Girls High School Tennis Teams at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland. With Italian background & citizenship, Matt and his family spend significant time in Italy learning and enjoying their family roots and local cultures.
